Belgian grindcore band Leng Tch’e have ended a long recording silence with Hammered into Collapse, a two-track EP released by Season of Mist on October 23, 2026. It is the group’s first newly released material since the 2017 album Razorgrind.
The EP pairs the previously introduced title track with “Voided,” a second song unveiled with the complete release. Rather than presenting the record as a full-length comeback, the band have chosen a compact format: two tracks that re-establish their current sound and lineup without stretching the return into a larger campaign.
What is on the EP?
“Hammered into Collapse” arrived first, on September 24, with an official video. “Voided” completes the release and gives the EP a second, distinct piece of new material. Both tracks are available together through the label’s official channels.
The short format suits Leng Tch’e’s direct approach. Grindcore depends on compression—short runtimes, abrupt transitions and the tension between speed and weight. A two-song release can therefore function as more than a teaser: it provides a focused snapshot of where the band stands after a near-decade gap.
A return without erasing the gap
Since Razorgrind, the metal landscape has changed, but Leng Tch’e’s core vocabulary remains recognisable: tightly controlled bursts of extreme metal, rhythmic shifts and a confrontational, percussive attack. The significance of Hammered into Collapse is not that it pretends the intervening years did not happen. It is that the group has chosen to restart with a concise statement instead of a nostalgic repackage.
The title track had already announced the return; the EP release now changes the status of the project from a single-song comeback to a complete, if deliberately brief, new work. “Voided” is therefore the key new element for listeners who followed September’s first reveal.
Where to hear it
Season of Mist has published the full EP through its official release page and linked video. Listeners should use those official channels or the band’s authorised streaming profiles rather than unofficial uploads, both for accurate credits and to support the release.
No larger album announcement is required to understand this EP on its own terms. Hammered into Collapse is a compact return: two new tracks, a confirmed release date, and the band’s first fresh studio material in nine years.
